‘ಒಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ, ಒಂದು ಚುನಾವಣೆ’ ಕುರಿತ ಜಂಟಿ ಸಂಸದೀಯ ಸಮಿತಿಯ (ಜೆಪಿಸಿ) ಅವಧಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಗಾರು ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಕೊನೆಯ ವಾರದ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಲೋಕಸಭೆಯು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 25 ರಂದು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿತು. JPC ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪಿಪಿ ಚೌಧರಿ ಅವರು ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 129 ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಮಸೂದೆ, 2024 ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರಾಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಕಾನೂನು ತಿದ್ದುಪಡಿ ಮಸೂದೆ, 2024 ರ ವರದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಲು ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟರು. ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಅಟಾರ್ನಿ ಜನರಲ್ ಆರ್. ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಜಿ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಡಿಎನ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ನ ಮಾಜಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಡಿಎನ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಲಿದೆ. ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಬಿಎಸ್ ಚೌಹಾಣ್, ಆಡಳಿತ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗಳತ್ತ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
